Regardless of the money you make
or what your status is on every damn social app out there,
I still believe love is what makes this world go around.
I've never been married and have no children.
Some of these reasons are because my parents have been married 13 times between them.
Other reasons are because I felt that there is this indescribable energy that 2 people have between them and I was waiting to see if I could find some of that. Something that can knock the wind out of anybody is something that no matter who you are, is shared with every other human across this planet.
You have an idea of what you want in a perfect mate, but somehow it's tweeked a little because if you have someone whose too perfect, you'll develop those fears, such as jealousy, mistrust and all the other insecurities that cause you to deconstruct your what could be a great relationship.
Most people I know stay with their mate due to fear of the unknown, children, or because they don't want to be like their parents, so people somehow end up settling.
Now, settling means the other person wonders what if, but still loves the one they're with. Its safe and secure, but there is something missing. Not enough though to be completely honest with yourself or the one you love.
Don't get me wrong, there are people who have that perfect relationship, but nobody really knows them. They think they have the perfect relationship but honestly, you can't fight the natural law of attraction, but for the one's that have that almost perfect relationship, they had to sacrifice that secure feeling of being loved and loving another person, but not being in love anymore. That's hard to do. Most people can't chance that because they're afraid that they will end up not getting that greener grass on the other side. That is rolling the dice with hope and hope is for people that don't have faith in themselves. Now when rolling, if you lose, you can never get back what you just hoped you would win. You can prolong the inevitable, but you will never be able to recover fully from what you just risked it on.
Some people find that love they thought was gone through the years together, back in their partner because they realize that they almost just lost the most important thing in their life.
That to me is falling in love and realizing that what you had was right in front of you the entire time, but you're given that chance from the universe to see how special it really is. The thing is, when you realize that, have your eyes opened and will they now remain that way? I hope so anyway. My feelings are, if you've realized that you are in love because you realized you almost lost it, well congrats because you found your true love.
My point to all of this is, if you're in love with the IDEA of love, it's easy to believe in when somebody tells you those 3 words. They can make you feel so euphoric, but at the same time can shatter everything you ever believed in or trusted. Don't be sold on the idea of how much someone makes you believe in it, but be humble enough to allow it and wise enough to realize what it truly is. The meaning of the word is becoming an everyday word that is losing its true meaning and purpose. When it's all said and done, that's all we want. From the time we take our first breath, until the time we take are last.
